In my own experience this practice helped me to slow down my rhythm and to put attention to my presence in my actions. I felt more connected with my reality and I realized that my quality of presence was a ticket to meet the Sacred around me in all little details of my daily life. At the same time it was like a costant ecologic care and love that I was sharing with landscapes and my family to give me a sense of balance with all.
Love in action
I go to the market with my 3 years old daughter and we walk to our usual park, but everything is different everytime. There is no boredom, no repetition. We have always something to discover, to explore and to create. We have a cotton shopper, and we will free to collect what inspires us, according to the season, with a minimum impact on the landscape: beautiful autumnal leaves, strange sticks, fallen acorns, fallen flowers, and we get always new surprises, new treasures. With my daughter Anais I’ve created a secret school: The School of the Magicians of the Earth ( read more about it and conscious parenting here).
You don’t need to collect to feel the energies of the Body of Gaia: you can just look at the small details of nature, those things that remind for many irrelevant or invisible. Look at it, look at it with a sense of wonder and love, look at it to learn from Gaia about life’s cycles and wisdom.
When we are going fast, it is quite difficult to grasp the beauty around us. But when we slow down and we look at it, with the sacred intention to cooperate with nature, something magic happens: it is like if a string of love between the Earth and us was manifesting itself in the form of an emotion and we begin to feel the energies of Gaia in our body. We feel connected. We have opened our Seventh Sense, our sense of interconnection with all and we can receive Her wisdom.
And when we feel connected, we can open our hearts and begin to learn and to cocreate. We are able to listen to the beat of the Earth, take our natural place in the realm of the Intelligence of Life, learn about us, about life, death and regeneration, cycles and recycles. And at the end we become more brave and wise because Nature is the Master.
You walk in the same streets than ever, but everything is nourishing and rich. Because you have activated this string of love.
The Manifesto of the EarthPainter
1) You are in the good place to be curious
You can begin to explore your daily places and streets that you walking everyday without putting your attention. Look to the plants on your balcony, to the trees of your courtyard, to the seasons. After you will go to more inspirational places in nature. As I told before, the magic of Earth is not just when everything is perfectly green and pristine. Even in heavy places, Gaia sustains your life. Be curious of each natural detail around you!
2) Let use your compass : contemplate, collect, trasform and cocreate
Look around with attention + collect inspirational elements + trasform ( or not) + cocreate ( through painting or landart) = connect with nature in a creative way.
3) Share consciously with your tribe
Earthpainting has been designed as a social practice of sharing and cocreation. Share your love for art, nature and evolution with the people you love. If you want to meet the EarthPainting tribe you can just #EarthPainting on socials ( instagram and facebook page).
4) Explore with interest your reality and notice what you find
You remember when you were a child and that you felt an explorer in the garden, that is a precious spirit to coltivate: immerge yourself in the discovery. The practice will transform you in a magician, in an alchimist soon. Nature will teach you through symbols and shapes.
5) Be present in the Here and Now. Enter in the meditation of cocreation with nature
Enjoy the silence of your ” harvesting”, the joy of contemplate natural details in an active mode, fall in love with the perfumes of your organic pigments, connect with your sacred being and with the Earth, ground yourself in this sense of balance and fullfilment that offers you nature.
6) Give value
Give value to your environment through its elements, aknowledge the wisdom of nature and the worth of your own creativity, educate your sons and daughters through a conscious parenting paradigm of the value of landscape, respect, dialogue and handmade.
7) Let nature heal us
A person that learn to manage his emotions and pulsions of destruction will be less violent with his environment. Because if we realize deeply the value of nature, we will stop damage it with our residues. In a greater scale, when many of us will have realized the interconnection that exists between us and Gaia, there will be less people to pillage Her, because they will realize that they are part of Gaia’s body and that by raping Gaia, they destroy themselves and their possibility of surviving in the future.
An EarthPainter is someone who is respecting his deep nature within. He moves from ” I can use nature for my needs – even if it means to destroy Her and to destroy myself -” to ” I learn how to collaborate with nature in the respect of the Intelligence of Life, because I realize that I am part of Gaia and that everything is interconnected.”
This is a deep process of trasformation and transmutation of our own shadows. A silent and substantial rivolution.
When you realize that you are part of the web of the cosmic Intelligence of Life, you you become a guardian of life, an healer, an interconnector thar repairs the sense of sacred union that has been lost between us and our home, Gaia.

1) Parti da dove sei
Inizia ad esplorare i tuoi luoghi quotidiani, le strade che percorri ogni giorno senza mai guardare con attenzione. Parti dal tuo balcone, cortile, parco, per poi esplorare paesaggi più distanti e più verdi. La terra non è solo un campo di grano al tramonto, la magia di foresta pluviale incontaminata… la terra si trova dappertutto, anche nei luoghi più “contaminati”: è lì che sostiene ogni tuo passo, proprio sotto al marciapiede. La pratica si rivolge a tutti, cittadini e rurali; ma cittadini, attrezzatevi di curiosità e vedrete quanto è bella questa sfida!
2) La bussola delle 3 fasi
Le 3 fasi della pratica sono: raccolta, trasformazione e co-creazione.Nella fase della raccolta ti lasci ispirare dal tuo ambiente e raccogli materiali naturali, nella fase di trasformazione, parti da questi elementi per costruire i tuoi pennelli e trasformarli in colori ed inchiostri, nella terza fase fai un tuffo nella co-creazione, dipingendo un earthpainting, che è il risultato della tua connessione con la natura.
3) Condividi con la tua tribù
Earthpainting è stato immaginato come una pratica sociale che crea condivisione, interazione e dialogo. Condividi la pratica con chi conosci, i tuoi compagni di cammino, i tuoi amici, i tuoi genitori, i tuoi figli: è una pratica che porta a uno stato di coscienza – che potremmo forse chiamare, “presenza interconnessa” – più ne farai l’esperienza in prima persona e più potrai aiutare chi sta accanto ad avere i stessi benefici. Quindi passa la parola semplicemente condividendo la tua esperienza e il link del sito dove potranno iscriversi gratuitamente e ricevere in regalo un pro-memoria molto pratico per iniziare il loro progetto artistico. 4) Guarda con interesse attorno a te e fai caso a quello che trovi
Ti ricordi quando eri piccolo che ti sentivi un esploratore nel giardino sotto casa, questo è uno spirito prezioso da coltivare. Immergiti nella scoperta. Presto la pratica ti farà diventare una sorta di alchimista. Prossimamente troverai sul sito una serie di minicorsi on line per imparare tante tecniche.
5) Coltiva la presenza nel qui ed ora. EarthPainting è una meditazione co-creativa
Gustati il silenzio della raccolta, la gioia della contemplazione attiva; inebriati di profumi e di fantasia nella fase dell’alchemista; connettiti con la tua natura profonda nella fase della co-creazione, meditando prima di dipingendo. Quando ritrovi l’apertura, la curiosità e la libertà di stare nella natura, sei naturalmente in uno stato di calma e di pienezza.
6) Valorizza
Dai valore al tuo ambiente attraverso i suoi materiali naturali, dai valore alla tua creatività, educa i tuoi figli al valore del territorio, del rispetto, del dialogo e della manualità. Mantieni viva la connessione con la terra sulla quale poggiano i tuoi piedi – e al legame che puoi nutrire con la natura circostante… anche in un contesto urbano!
7) Lascia la natura guarirti e riparare le tue ferite
Un essere umano che impara a gestire meglio la sua distruttività, presta anche più attenzione al suo ambiente, li riconosce valore e di conseguenza smette di danneggiarlo; a scala più grande, quando tanti abitanti della terra che prendono coscienza della preziosità del loro territorio e della Vita, sono meno disposti a continuare a saccheggiare e violentare il pianeta che le ospita, e a rovinare loro stessi e il loro futuro.
Un EarthPainter inizia anche a rispettare la sua natura profonda. Passa da “dispongo della natura – anche al prezzo di distruggerla e quindi di distruggermi” a ” imparo a co-creare nel rispetto dell’ecosistema, perché faccio parte di questo ecosistema e che sono consapevole che tutto è interconnesso”. Si tratta di un profondo processo di trasformazione, una rivoluzione silenziosa e sostanziosa.
Quando inizi ad accorgerti della vita sotto tutte le sue forme, puoi prenderne cura e diventi non solo un Bioprotettore ma anche un guaritore, un interconnettore che ripara il senso di connessione perduto.
